Ms. Nancy Putnam was born and raised in Lawrenceville, Illinois, after graduating from high school she attended nursing school in Decatur, Illinois where she received her nursing license as a registered nurse.
While she was working at the hospital as a nurse she was paged to take care of a patient. That patient was the mother of her future husband, Clyde Putnam. He asked her out to the theater and afterward, they went to Steak and Shake for dinner.
They had four kids together: Jennifer, Julia, Kirk, and Clyde Jr. Ms. Nancy eventually became the Director of Nursing at a Lawrenceville, Illinois hospital and at a local nursing home. She was a member of Lawrenceville United Methodist Church and also sang in the choir. Ms. Putnam now has 15 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids.
