We have enjoyed so many fun activities over the past month! We have had lots of live music from Ken Mallard and Company, Shannon Parker, and Scott Myatt— all playing guitar and singing, as well as our very own Horace Simmons on the piano. There have even been a few members of staff who have done a little playing and singing as well— our Maintenance Director, Mark Ross on guitar and vocals, our Community Outreach Liaison, Angie Arrington on vocals, and Mekia Shanklin on vocals! Few things touch our hearts and souls like beautiful music.

We also had a wonderful family day event, our Summer Luau Party, which was a full community event for both our assisted living and memory care residents. We enjoyed mocktails, lots of refreshments, music, and fun with friends.

It was wonderful to be able to welcome back Maggie and Friends Pet Therapy group as well. They will be coming once a month to give our residents a little bit of puppy love, and the brand of joy that only pets can bring.

We continue to have our regular weekly activities, such as exercise classes, BINGO, Bible study, social times, crafts, physical games, and brain games. We would love for you to come and join us for the fun! Even if you aren’t sure if you will like it, just come on out, and give it a try. Time together tends to lead to laughs and fun!
