I am 34 years old and wife to Nicholas Robertson and we have one son, 13-year-old Lukus Robertson. I have been blessed working with Regency Retirement Village for the last 2 years as a caregiver. Caregiving is my role and I cannot imagine being or doing anything else. I did not plan for or expect my achievements. Not only have I never done this type of work before, but I was shocked to get Employee of the Month. I told myself I would aim for Employee of the Year to improve myself. My passion is these residents.

After losing people I knew in my life, I started to feel like the residents were becoming my family. I value respecting others and showing that in how I communicate. I try to keep a smile and stay positive because this is not just a place to work, it is a one-of-a-kind gift.

My interests are trying new things and not letting fear of any kind interfere. I love animals, meeting new people, and coming out of my shell. If it was not for God and people supporting me like my family, I do not know where I would be.

I would have never thought of getting this blessing doing what I do, and I would not stop doing it for anything.
